I'm a Florida Native who grew up in the Panhandle before moving to Orlando to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences and a Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. I am a Licensed Acupuncture Physician and Chinese Herbalist and Nationally Certified by NCCAOM (www.nccaom.org).
Upon graduation, I was fortunate to work with a Chinese Master in Melbourne, Florida who taught me the best ways to treat patients quickly and achieve the desired results. I have had great success in treating all types of pain, fertility issues, insomnia, fibromyalgia, and weight loss among other things.
I love traveling to attend continuing education courses all over the US and expanding my knowledge with the experts! Recently, I have been working with many patients with Neurological disorders and patients suffering from side effects from Chemotherapy and Radiation. I utilize Scalp Acupuncture to encourage the communication between the brain and the nerves through the body to encourage symptoms relief.
In 2004 I was selected to participate in an internship program in Yantai, China. There I worked in a Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital and was immersed in the Chinese culture and philosophy on medicine. Having the opportunity to treat patients with acupuncture and Chinese herbs on a daily basis gave me a fresh perspective on how effective this form of medicine is.
I was raised in the Blount county area of Alabama. I attended Wallace state where I received an associate degree in Healthcare Information and Technology Management. I've worked in the healthcare field for around ten years now, and really love being able to be involved in helping others along on their wellness journey.
I really enjoy traveling, being outdoors, and exploring new areas. I also enjoy thrifting and repurposing old items to give them new life. I spend a lot of time camping and love to take my kayak out on the lake during the summer. I've found an interest in photography as well over the past year and love to take my camera out to take pictures of the places I'm able to visit.
